Complete East Greenland

The 12-day East Greenland expedition takes you to explore one of the most distant and extraordinary natural habitats which exist on Earth. The trip starts in Reykjavik before it crosses the Denmark Strait to reach Greenland's wild coast which features glaciers and fjords and high mountain peaks.

The journey takes travelers through historical locations and Inuit villages and the vast Northeast Greenland National Park which stands as the biggest protected wilderness in existence. The expedition through the High Arctic becomes an everlasting adventure because of the Arctic wildlife encounters and the amazing cultural experiences and stunning polar scenery.

Day by day

Day 1: Reykjavik and Departure for Greenland
The journey starts in Reykjavik which serves as the vibrant port city that functions as Iceland's capital. Before departure, travelers may notice the striking Hallgrímskirkja Church rising above the city skyline. The city of Reykjavik presents a fusion between Nordic traditions and contemporary artistic expression through its numerous art exhibitions and museum collections and its active waterfront district. The ship begins its journey by sailing away from Iceland before it reaches the Arctic region which separates Iceland from Greenland. The endless ocean ahead shows the path to a remarkable expedition which will take us to one of the Earth's most isolated places. The evening provides travelers with an opportunity to relax while they socialize with their travel companions before they experience the stunning Danish landscapes across the Denmark Strait.
Day 2: Arctic Waters of the Denmark Strait
The second day requires travelers to cross the Denmark Strait which serves as a biologically diverse waterway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Arctic Ocean. The area supports active marine life because its water masses combine both chilly and warm temperature streams. As the ship approaches Greenland, guests tend to assemble on deck while they search for seabirds and marine creatures throughout the open sea. Experts deliver presentations about Arctic environmental features and wildlife populations and historical background during the entire day. The growing excitement becomes apparent when distant mountains and floating ice start to show up because Greenland's dramatic coastline approaches our position.
Day 3: Kuummiut and the Historic Ikateq Fjord
Day 4: Tasiilaq and East Greenlandic Traditions
Day 5: Sailing Along the Remote East Greenland Coast
