Antarctic Peninsula: The Classic Voyage

Travelers will discover the Antarctic Peninsula through a unique expedition which takes them to the southernmost continent of Antarctica. The journey starts at Ushuaia before the ship crosses the Drake Passage to reach the frozen territories which include the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula.

The itinerary includes an extra day for exploration which allows visitors to explore more of Antarctica's animal species together with its stunning natural beauty. The area presents an amazing landscape because of its massive glaciers and floating icebergs and its active penguin populations.

Day by day

Day 1: Ushuaia: Gateway to the Polar Regions
The expedition starts its journey from Ushuaia which holds the title of being the southernmost city in the entire world. The town stretches along the Beagle Channel to provide visitors with stunning views of Tierra del Fuego's mountainous landscape and its forested areas. Travelers explore local museums and waterfront viewpoints before they start their journey to the south.
Day 2: Beginning the Antarctic Expedition
Guests board the expedition vessel and depart Ushuaia, sailing through the scenic Beagle Channel into the open waters of the Southern Ocean. The expedition team receives their introduction during onboard briefings which also deliver information about the upcoming wildlife encounters and environmental settings in Antarctica.
