Celebrating New Year's in Antarctica

You should welcome the New Year by joining an extraordinary Antarctic adventure which will take you to this remote frozen continent. The polar expedition starts in Ushuaia before crossing the dangerous Drake Passage to reach the Antarctic Sound and Weddell Sea which contain spectacular ice-covered waters.

The environment presents a magnificent setting for exploration because of its huge icebergs and its bustling penguin colonies and its amazing marine creatures. The expedition moves forward through the Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands before heading back to South America for a unique New Year celebration in the most remote part of the Earth.

Day by day

Day 1: Gateway to Antarctica: Ushuaia
The expedition starts its journey from Ushuaia which sits at Argentina's southernmost point. The town functions as Antarctica' main entry point because it exists among majestic mountain ranges which protect the untouched natural beauty of Tierra del Fuego. The travelers get to discover the waterfront area and cultural landmarks of the city before they start their trip toward the southern region.
Day 2: Departure Toward Antarctica
The expedition starts its official journey when guests board the ship which leaves Ushuaia port. The ship sails through the Beagle Channel until it reaches the unrestricted waters of the Southern Ocean. The expedition team presents the journey to travelers while they get ready for their upcoming adventure.
